A Memory

30 Days Writing Challenge : Day 3

A memory for me can be places, people and the experience between the two of them. Memory is the big thing I hold dearly onto me, things that caught my eyes then put directly into my head for God knows how long. There are times I intentionally recall some of them just so that I won't lose it and remember it better in my head.

To recall just a memory would be unfair. Because now my head is firing out all the memories into my brain so that I’d write them all here, but that is obviously won't work either unless I would spend a month writing this back to back, which I won't –and emotionally can’t.

I still remember clearly the excitement and the flying butterflies inside my stomach when I had my first trip abroad. Or when I finally met my favorite movie star while rambling my words out. Or the scent of my favorite restaurant in Tokyo when I first came in—it’s the best ramen I’ve ever had so far. The lovely memory of my first boyfriend, followed by my first breakup which was pretty funny. The exciting memory of my first day at school and my first day at work. Coming to a concert of the coolest band with some people I knew nothing about. These whole memories have successfully shaped me into who I am today, special combination of the best ones, the worst, the most tragic, and sometimes the funniest ones. I would forever cherish all of these memories.
